Drop Tube/ Funnel for 30BR

Does anybody use the ones from 21st Century? I like the idea of the clear tube. I'm thinking the 10" one???

I have used the 21 cent and I did not like the black caliber change spout. It was long or overly large, and made it difficult to see the charge being completely in the case (at least with a BRA sized case). Kinda defeated the purpose of the clear tube. Just my opinion

Those wouldnt be much help on a 30br. They dont seem to work too well when stacking drop tubes not to mention by the time you put 4-5 of them together its so heavy it will bend a neck. The forster blue ribbon funnel works perfect
Whats the internal diameter of the forster funnel?

I can go measure it later on. What I will say is this. With 34.7 grains of H4198 I do not have to sprinkle the powder in to the funnel to make the powder fit. On the contrary, all I do is dump it right in the funnel and the cases are perfectly filled. When working with N133 and my 6PPC it is the same deal. 29.9 grains of powder is not an issue and I don't have to jump through any special hoops to make the powder fit the case. Dump and go. Can easily fit more.

I've decided to take matters into my own hands. I already have the Forster Blue Ribbon for filling bags. Seems a cartridge-specific little adapter should do the trick for hands free filling. Brought stuff to work today. If it works, I'll post results.

Harrell’s Precision makes great products and clear drop tubes for doing such thing. There also are great to deal with.

I'm a big fan of Harrell's myself. Need to get some brass cycled a few times in this new chamber and send it off top them for a sizer.

I really like the 21st Century funnel + long drop tube, because it allows you to see the powder as it is going into the case. It's very easy to spot a potential powder clog in the tube and correct it immediately.

Here's what I ended up with. If my buddy can get almost 35gr of 4198 in his cases with a 1 handed dump & wait I'll consider it a success.

Some preliminary testing last night. Looks like it will divide his pour time a little more than half and the same charge will come up the neck about 1/16" less. There's probably room for 35.5gr of H4198 using this drop tube and a moderate dump speed.

I can get over 36 grains of benchmark and over 35.4 of 4198 in that 30BR case with a moderate dump

I'm new to 30 BR, just bought a rifle a couple of weeks ago. I encountered the same thing when I went to put 33.5 grains of H4198 into a case. A guy I shoot with suggested the 'swirl' method of putting the powder into the case.

It works just fine and doesn't take much longer than just dropping it in. I can get 34.7 grains of H4198 in with no problems.

I did buy a Satern aluminum funnel to help with static, and I also use an old Lyman scale pan made of metal for the same reason. Otherwise Bounce sheets work to remove static from plastic tools.
