7mm/08 Laupa brass

I was wondering if any of you guys are using Laupa brass for their 7mm/08. What is your take on the stuff, and could you please weight a few for me and give me the weight if it isn't to much trouble Thank you

Yep, I use it. Best there is and seems to last forever. There is a couple thou variance in neck thickness in my lot, but I turn them to .014".

Light sort 100 rds is 172.75 gr. avg.
Medium sort 100 rds is 173.25 gr. avg.
Heavy sort 100 rds is 173.60 gr. avg.

I bought some once. Never again.

I had read that neck tension on new lapua was stupid high and to size it.
Did that
Primed all 100 some pockets were stupid tight some were almost loose feeling.
Seating bullets neck tension was still a little extreme but I pressed on. After firing all of them back at the bench sized all 100, cleaned, trimmed everything looked good.

Priming again pockets were loosening up on the tight ones and almost too loose on the ones that were loose to begin with. Neck tension was all over the map some tight some you could almost push the bullet in by hand. Sold the brass for half price to someone that wanted to try make it work for them.

Also had an "experience" with lapua 223 brass.

Mine seems to be fine. I have never had a load change so much from changing brass. I went from Remington to Lapua. With the Remmy Brass the best powder was H4350 and with the Lapua it's Varget.

Did your accuracy improve or remain the same TKS

It didn't improve. It was really good with the Remington brass. It's good with the Lapua also, but I haven't done the load development with Lapua like I did with the Remmy Brass. Hunting season snuck up on me before I got all the load development done. Then my son's baseball season snuck up after that. And now its really really hot in Texas. I'll get it done one day.

Can't weight any for you until I come back home in a couple days.
But I didn't see any accuracy improvement compared to Winchester brass.
If you're neck turning then I'd go with Lapua cause necks have a hair more meat than Winchester brass.
