Anyone shooting the Canadians next week?

It is all about the working and its' context.

Now is not a good time to mess up. Did read that the Texas shooter allowed some races to pass and made decisions to shoot others. He is alive, so more may or has already been learned.

Sorry only a slinger.

If you are still having trouble, let me know and I can message a buddy who shoots F-class to see if he knows anyone.

Did you get a lunch pass at the mess?????

Between Scotty B and Kenny Proulx I'll probably find someone to shoot with. I'll bring my KP Ballistics jersey and maybe Kenny will let me shoot with them again. ;)

No, I didn't get a mess pass. I got around to registering too late.

Border crossing is easy. Just have the paperwork filled out. Easier to get into Canada than back into the US.

Haven't shot in Canada in a number of years, but don't you need a form from US Customs indicating that the firearms originated in the US? I understands things may have changed since I was last up there.

Yup. Customs form 4457 https://www.cbp.gov/document/forms/form-4457-certificate-registration-personal-effects-taken-abroad

Its a really good idea for expensive riflescopes as well. I 'think' it is mostly about proving ownership so you don't have to pay import duties on your return to the US.

It took all of 5 minutes to get the form verified at our local CBP office (and they were friendly too).

Hope this helps,

Frank

Oddly enough US customs has never asked for the 4457 coming back. Last time they did ask to see my RCMP 909 though. It's pretty well documented that you carried the rifle to Canada from the US because you have to fill out the RCMP 909 with the serial numbers listed on it going in and pay the temporary permit fee.
