He still makes barrelsWhatever happened to Gary Schneider?
He still makes barrels
Although his name is not well known, Gary Schneider has supplied barrels to builders of sniper rifles and military competition teams. People that did not feel the need to advertise who's barrels they were using. Can't recall ever seeing his name in any discussion of barrels in recent years.
Checked out his web page. I thought it was frowned upon to contour [or do any other significant machine work] a barrel blank AFTER it had been stress relieved. Or has that been debunked?
Also didn't see Remington contours offered.

He still makes barrels though. He has supplied many military applications. Ive tried quite a few- he is a great guy.
I've had real good luck with my 16 twist Hart. Allie Euber had one chambered about a year before he passed away and he was winning a lot with that barrel .Anybody remember Hart?
Stan Taylor at Douglas gets my vote, top notch barrels and can't beat the turn around
Am I the only one that just now realized Stan is connected to Douglas?
I have owned 6 of Gary's barrels and they all shootHe still makes barrels
