V3 Auto Trickler Released!

I just went and checked their site and it’s only showing v2? Did you verify that they actually had full V3 kits? If they have them in stock, I’d switch.
Yup! On my invoice part# 2X ATrickComboADV3. Even had them verify all parts and what’s new in this kit before I purchased. All confirmed.. Glass cup, BT connectivity, new aluminum autothrow housing, adjustable trickler base (doesn’t matter for me on this part, ordered the 419 base). In fact they are not offering the v2 anymore. Don’t just look at their website. You need to call them. Ask for John. Obviously their website is not updated.

I just looked at DWS also. That's all V2 and some area 419 stuff in those pictures. It's definitely not the V3 autothrow and the autotrickler adjustable base in the pictures, that's for sure.
Their website is not updated. And they are not offering the V2 version no more. As mentioned, you need to call them and ask for John.

My V3 upgrade from V2 arrived today. Here’s what I thought:

Set up took me 30 minutes and I wasn’t trying to race - was watching a baseball game too. Good instructions. Only minor issue I noticed was that the instructions didn’t explicitly say — at least not that I saw — you could skip some setup stuff on the scale if you were just doing the upgrade. I just guessed that and it turned out to be true. The hardest part for me was getting the new belt and pulley installed on the Autothrow, but it was only tough because I got stubborn and ignored the instructions for a few minutes.

The trickler motor controller is much improved and the trickler is now very easy to adjust. I loaded 50 rounds this evening, two different bullets and powders. Probably 35-40 rounds were within 1 powder grain of the exact charge, which was about .02 gr for my powders. Also, the trickler doesn’t walk around any more, as advertised.

The straw is gone, and the new cup works great to stop bounce out. The auto throw works more smoothly, and is still very easy to adjust. I’m sure it was beginners luck too, but I didn’t have a single grain bounce out of that new cup.

The app is super easy to use. If you’re loading a ladder, when you’re ready to bump up the charge, you just type the new charge in and the trickler will just start turning again. I have an iPad and an iPhone. I noticed that the V3 will only Bluetooth connect to one device at a time. I had to disconnect it from the iPad before the iPhone would connect to it, alert the media... it’s not a problem as long as you know that.

In summary, Adam took a great product and fixed all the minor annoyances. It will be a challenge to find something you don’t like about the V3.

Thanks to Adam for a great product.

Anyone receive a shipping notice that ordered before May 31 but after May 26?

Fortunately, Adam sent my tracking number to me yesterday. Canada Post says 2 weeks to California. Unless the shipping method is via Caribou, I doubt it will take 2 weeks. How much transit time has it actually taken for those who have received theirs?

The route appears to be Canada Post from Fredericton, NB to Montreal, QC; it does not go through Caribou, Maine. Then it's picked up by US Mail in Montreal after going through whatever customs they do and it's on to Queens, NV from there. It takes a day from Fredericton to Montreal and it's usually in USPS hands sometime on the second day.

My shipment was misplaced by USPS between Dallas and Houston for some reason and got delayed over a weekend.

You can use the tracking number Adam sends for Canadapost.ca and also for USPS.com.

Mine took 7 days, but I'm in Texas. I haven't a clue what customs are like when you get to California

Well after doing 20 years in US Customs, I can state without a doubt that California Customs doesn't exist. :)

That's what they want you to believe.:D
True story. I-80 from Reno into California has an agriculture check point. So an attorney coming from NV to CA was stopped and the ag guy ask.."What is the nature of your visit...business or pleasure? Seems innocuous enough right? NO, that is a question reserved for me the Fed at an international border ONLY....Not sure what they settled for but there was probably a whole lot of zeros attached.

I cancelled my CE order and bought the V3 kit and scale from DWS on Monday and received today. Cost was approximately $25 more base price and $30 flat rate shipping. Sales rep was great. So not sure when they expect more inventory, but worth a call.
