6mm Sierra 90 TGK (aka GameChanger)?

They shot fine for me in my 6mmBR with 8 twist. Take note that the start BC at close to .5 retards very quickly, down to like .32 around 1000Y. Shooting at a 14" plate at 1200Y was a joke with these compared to the 105 hybrid I use now.

If shooting farther out the 95 TMK or 95 SMK are superior in the wind.

My 6mmFatRat likes the 95 SMK.

i push the 90tgk @3300fps out of the 6x47L. i like them but i have limited them to 500yards(its a "hunting" bullet). if you plug in the variable BC as sierra lists into a ballistic app and compare, you'll see that you really dont loose much inside 500y as far as bc goes(if you push them fast; 3200+).
starting them out at 3000fps or below would probably suck. i would pick a case that can push the 90tgk fast, keep them above that 2700fps mark as long as you can. once it drops below 2700fps velocity youre at the .400bc mark. thats when it will start dropping a lot quicker than the 95tmk like steve123 said.

IM currently at the range testing the 90 TGK in a 6mm A.I. 26” 1:8 twist. Getting 1/2 MOA with both Vihtavuori N-160 and H4831SC. Have not chronographed yet but I suspect they will be close to the 87 Bergers at 3450 FPS or slightly less.

I love the eldx. But, it pushes too much into the case, limiting powder capacity, decreasing speed. And the accuracy is not there.

What's your powder?

Im running H4895 with the 90s

I tried TAC and CFE223. The later gave much better groups, though slower. I got to 3000 FPS with 30.0 gr of TAC at barely 1 MOA. TAC did much better with Hornady 87 BTHP - around 0.3 MOA, but ES was over 51 FPS. TAC did not fare too well with 90 TGK either - barely 1 MOA. But with around 31.0 gr of CFE, ES in single digits and groups sub 1/4 MOA - speeds in very low 2900.

Update, I got a load worked out using this bullet in my 6 Ackley using 53.0 grains of H4831sc, chronos at 3500 with 12 FPS E.S. groups very well at 300 yards, 4 shots in .952". I will be using this load for an antelope tag I drew this fall. It will also replace my 87 berger hunting VLD load.

So this is the final group for my setup 31.2 gr CFE223, CCI 450, Lapua once-fired case, 90 TGK, Avg 2889 fps, SD 2 - 100 yards, Leupold VX-6HD 2-12x

There's been a few shooters review them on youtube. All testing seems to point to them being easy to load for and quite accurate.
