MEMBERSHIP ACCURATE SHOOTER

I have tried many times to contribute/ register thru Paypal and failed . Today , I decide to find out why as I'm pretty bad on the Computer . Found out that somehow when I tried thru the Site Screen , my old Email Address always came up . However , if I went to Paypal directly ..... they had my updated Address . No idea why this happens , but I just corrected the Address on the Site Screen and it went thru . Maybe someone else is going thru the same thing and this will help .

I want to thank all the guys who have contributed, or moved up to Gold from Silver. The reality is that we are now serving 45 thousand Forum members and 500k readers per month, on a budget that is a small fraction of what you'd expect. If more members contributed we could do so much more for those who use the site.

Also you can donate what ever amount you are comfortable with via PayPal. There is a donate button on every page, on the right side of the screen. I just used it and will try to do so every month, depending on funds.

You rich guys out there, and I assume by the equipment you talk about here, must mean that many of you are rich, can add the site to your will.

Nick

Can you renew early, or does it auto-renew? Not that this will be my first renewal, but, it’s been a whole year. I can’t be expected to remember that long!;)
You have to wait until after your expiration date and then when you hit the yellow upgrade button you will see the renewal options. I suppose F boss has already informed you

There should be some basic membership fee. If you want to post make it a silver membership and if you want use of the marketplace it should be a mandatory gold membership. I can't believe that 97% don't contribute, that's just plain wrong.

I could always threaten to send them a Talisman in bling mode.:p:p

45,000 to ... 3? Anyone that says we “men” don’t like talk amongst ourselves.

Just upgraded. I saved hundreds on the SVSS I just purchased, because I was quite helpfully pointed to a member of this site by others, who sold me a brand new scope at just barely above cost to him. I would have never have had this opportunity otherwise.

Anyone find it funny that only contributors have contributed to this thread? It is hard to understand sometime, how a person can spend thousands on a hobby, but won't spend a few bucks to join or help an association that's a wonderful resource for that hobby.

D-Mac -- that is invariably the case. It is those who contribute who understand why it is important.

And I should add that 90% of the time I spend responding to user requests (lost passwords, requests to move threads) results from demands from non-members. How long could a Car Mechanic (or Doctor for that matter) stay in business if 90% of his labor was for non-paying customers?

Members need to understand that sustaining the site on banner advertising alone is very, very difficult, because ALL the major Ad programs, such as Google Adsense and DoubleClick, blackball gun-related websites. That's why user support is key.

AND...ever notice the growing number of forum responses by non-members who denigrate someone else's post with the inference that they just have cheap junk and throwing enough money at a problem is the answer, all the while making sure that we all know how expensive their firearms and associated gear is. Where is their contribution support?

I usually figure it's all b.s....kinda like the guy with a Porsche key fob driving an '81 Omni. All show and blow. Put your money where your mouth is.

Though quite new to this forum, I've been meaning to become a member for several days now as I find a lot of quality contributors here. And though I've been on a variety of forums over decades, this one is one of the best IMHO. . . . particularly for anyone with a serious interest in precision shooting.

Keep up the good work people.

Just upgraded to Gold. Now I'm not a competition shooter, but I've been shooting since my Dad took me hunting at 8 years old, so 63 years. Going on 50 years of reloading.

There's considerable BSing around here, but there's also a great knowledge base. Over the last couple years, I've picked up some golden nuggets from the membership, so I figured I'd hang around. I like the way BOSS runs and controls the site.

I hope more people join/upgrade to guarantee the future of this site, it's a keeper.
