I started running suppressed this year and with a 6.5CM the recoil on obstacles is a bit much. The time off target during recoil is a smidge too long, so a few weeks ago I and a buddy decided to switch over to the 6br. We had run other smaller cartridges (x47 mainly) but the recoil was still the same or close enough it didn't make much difference.
A call to Greg @ SPS and 3 days later we had two 6mm 8t HV 31" long sitting on the bench.
I grabbed an old Kreiger from my bucket (same details) and chopped the shank off and chambered it and my buddies barrel.
I'm using a TL Technologies G1 and he's using a Kelbly Atlas Tactical.
Put everything on the rifle, went home and did a really quick ladder test, found a node from 28.9-29.1gr H4895 with 105s and ran 29gr for 10 shots across the magneto and was pleasantly surprised to find a solid node.
The best part about the BR is the lack of recoil with a suppressor. I was seeing about .7-1 mil movement from my barricade, where the creed was almost 2.5x that.
Today Im going to take it to 700y and tune the OAL but I'm guessing there's not going to be much work involved.
