I'm moving to Arizona. This is one of the many reasons not to stay in Illinois.

For those of us who for various reasons can't just move out, Chicago as a separate state sounds great. It's nickname could be "The Welfare State"....and I am not referring to individuals who rightly are assisted by programs. I am referring to the vast amounts sucked from Federal and State coffers to support the ingrained system of greed and corruption that has pervaded Chicago politics for generations. As it stands, Illinois is nothing more than a life-support system for Chicago, with Chicago calling all the shots for the state.

So glad I left there 30 years ago! Unfortunately Washington State is getting just as bad.
Seattle controls the state, just like Chi Town does in Ill.

You are correct, Secession is our right, and we can divide into 5 separate states.

Come on down to Arkansas, we would welcome you and your guns! Like Mississippi, carry what ever you want. Now that bill and Hill are gone it's a real nice place. Culture shock might take a little getting used to, but if you can put up with that pirate down in Texas and Bcz here on the site you would catch up with us pretty quick.
