An old timer needs some help as to how to convert .220 Russian Lapua Brass into 6ppc. I purchased a Remington 700 in 6ppc and it is time to replace the original brass that was included in the purchase. After many reloads, the cases have become hardened. Choosing not to try and anneal them, I purchased new .220 Lapua Brass. My benchrifle has a .262 chamber. The new brass has a .249 o.d. neck and a .218 I.d. That results in .031 of brass walls. I guess that somehow I’ve got to expand the o.d. large enough to hold the .243 bullet and then turn the brass to give about .085 thick walls. I’ve got a Forester case trimmer and recently purchased their case turning tools. Please help me as to how to do this. Many thanks.
