I had Manson regrind my 204 reamer to get rid of all that free bore. Now I can touch the lands & get them in the magazine in my Kimber. Works good.

Well I got out yesterday to test some velocities and see how the 35gr Berger’s shoot in my little 20 tac. Turns out I underloaded them a little and need to amp them up a smidge. Starting load was only 3600 and finished off around 3758fps. But point of impact shift was minuscule compared to my 39gr blitzkings zero. I might load up a few more and see if I can amp it up too 3850-3950 and get a decent group. Keep the 39gr blitzkings loaded at 3800fps for those dogs that hang up a bit. I’ll reload up a few more, and test them out too 300 and 400 yards for groups and point of impact between the too

35grain Berger would probably be my last choice for a prairie dog load. And I shoot a lot of prairie dogs with 20cal.

Agree. With all the great poly-tipped .20 cal varmint bullets available, this would be my last choice too. BUT for coyotes, it's a different story altogether.

If you want rat-o-batics and "vivid" terminal effects in a PD town or the rat patch, then there's lots to choose from other than the Berger. Think: Varmageddon, Ballistic Tip, V-Max, Blitz King, etc.

See, I'm not nearly as creative as some of you, so I've always just called it aerial affects and or splat factor, but I like "Rat-O-Batics" better.

204 Ruger, 32 gr bullet, neck shot, a tad over 300 yds, benchshooter
