Rifle Paint Pob - Vote or Die or Something

OHHH my I haven't thought about a lace paint job in decades. My buddy Ted had a 69 Camaro that was laced to the max, and it was cool at least back then.

I assume by lace paint job you do mean using a bit of lace fabric as a stencil of sorts don't you? I don't see that really working but I'm open to ideas. I have lots of rifles that need fresh paint anyway. On the downside, I'm finding out pin striping is really a lot harder than it looks so the 70's Harley style is starting to look like I might not be able to pull it off without professional assistance.

Yes I did, had to mask and spray each side individually,to get lace around contours

I'm going to try out a pattern based on these today on a test stock. Lace isn't really my thing. I did buy a rainbow wig and mocked it up on the gun but I could see in the end how it would cause me unending malfunctions with the hair getting caught in my action and getting in the way of the turret knobs.

I tested out a MLP job with an intention of doing the "Pinky Die" concept and that turned out to look more or less like a bottle of Pepto got dipped in tar. Not good. Then I went to try the video game character silhouettes as a sort of urban camo but that failed because the shapes really do use a lot of very small details and I couldn't get them cut out with sufficient precision. The ones that I could cut out precisely enough ended up just not being super identifiable (except pac-man) so I scrapped the whole notion and went to good ol' google for ideas. I found a character from what I gather is a comic book series (never heard of it myself) called "Deadpool" and the look of it was something I thought I could pull off and I didn't see any examples of bolt action rifles done up on that theme, just AR's and the like.

Then .243AI and painted to look like a hot dog with mustard and relish (you can just make out the mustard line). NOTE: pic not showing for me at post time. LMK if you can see it.

Now 6XC with a Deadpool inspired black & red. I think the cheek piece needs a little splash of red hue but I'm not sure. Apparently the word "chimichanga" means something in the Deadpool comics when done as white graffiti but the "Chimichanga" and other graffiti bits are yet to be done. I don't know if I want to go the full 9 with the graffiti or let it ride like it is.

What'cha think? Go the full 9 with graffiti and a little more red/maroon coming through on the cheek piece and barrel or leave it this way?
