For what it's worth, the usual advice I've seen (but with respect to 6 PPC) is that it's better to have the base of the bullet above the neck/shoulder junction. I have a pair of triple deuces that must have the same amount of freebore because, with a Bart's 52 FB seated so as to give a cartridge OAL of 2.20" in each and with the bullet just kissing the lands, the base of the bullet is at about 1.49" up from the base, and so about .20"-.21" into the neck or about 2/3s down the neck. So almost one caliber of neck contact. This seems about right, although you could go a little deeper into the case.
It's very hard to translate the desired seating depth for a particular bullet into a freebore dimension. In my opinion, it's safer to provide the reamer maker with a dummy round with the bullet seated to exactly where you want it while making light contact with the rifling than it is to guess at what freebore dimension will accomplish this.
