Teaching always pays.

Try to get some of the youth team to try smallbore so we packed up all John's old gear, current gear & donated jacket & off we went. Some of the guys at our range (Southern Indiana Rifle and Pistol Club) donated guns and we had several kids show up to try. John showed them how to use the clothes and fitted the best we could to size rifles. It must have worked because John had a good night. I think these targets were closer to A-36, but still a 579 ain't bad. I believe you learn when you teach others. Nice to see John on the floor helping one of our youngest shooters zero in. Now if he can keep this momentum going for regionals. We leave Wed. for the long drive to Camp Perry.

If your club had youth events go even if you don't have a kid or a grandkids. We had 2 grandpas teaching today. It was very good to see.

Verbalizing a process to the level necessary to teach that process effectively, requires a deeper, more complete understanding. It will make it "yours". Also it could possibly add a bit more pressure to "do what you preach".
Good on ya John.
Paula, plz keep us posted on the Perry progress and scores.
