2019 OBR F-Class matches

Just got back from this year's Orange Blossom Regional F Class matches at Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club. Notwithstanding a steady downpour resulting in a 3 hour rain delay on Day one, the matches came off smoothly and without hitch. Special thanks to Brad, Terry, Chip, and the entire support crew at PMRPC. The OBR matches started Mar 2nd, so these folks have been at for three weeks, not to mention the months of planning and preparation. Hats off and many thanks to them for running a great set of matches. Results can be found at

Heck John ... Heard you got a first in your High Master class. Have not checked the results but a "little birdie" told me.

You 'da man.

*** Just checked. You "smoked" the whole place and all the classes. WOW!

Too bad more High Masters in Open did not participate or in two cases, where not permitted the opportunity to participate.

Perhaps the Fclass gods will hear the outcries of their people and free them from the insanity and rejuvenate their interest again.

Great shooting John. Regardless of how many shot, only dropping 4 shots the entire match was great shooting.
I heard that some of the regulars will not shoot on the e-targets. No reason to avoid the best and very well run 600 yard f-class match in the state.

Match program indicated, as long as the max capacity of participants was not reached, those shooters wishing to participate could register after the deadline as long as the match director was notified directly. 2 individuals followed the policy of the match program and were denied entry registration. There was a collection of talented shooters who for reasons I will not express in this writing, chose not to enter. The attendance could have been significantly higher.

There's little bit more to the historical value regarding the decline of participants than just e-targets that as a non-local, you are probably are not familiar.

What you said does not make sense to me 2 people were denied after registration was closed the other people would have been registered so what is the real problem.

Perhaps you should consult the match director...I'm sure he could explain it better than me. It will only raise my blood pressure.

It's a shame there is turmoil. PMRPC is a top notch facility, definitely the best in the state for mid-range rifle matches. Hopefully, they can figure this out.

Maybe you too guys should work it out because it is a great match instead of airing your dirty laundry on accurate shooter. i drive three and half hours to get there its the best range in florida and and the east coast.
