DIY turret labels

This is great!
Same problem here though. Can’t figure out how to get it to print. Printing all the way across a sheet of paper.
Only options I get for opening is with; Internet explorer, Microsoft Office, Paint and Windows photo viewer.
Downloads in .png form not sure how to open that with adobe.

I’m using Chrome as the browser.

Try sizing the print to page. It defaults to fit/fill/full page. Should be a spot somewhere in your software for printing that allows you to size it.

yeah I don't know. tried about everything I could think of. none of the programs I open it with gives me much print options.

Adobe on my computer gives me more print options like "actual size" but.....its not downloaded in a pdf form to open with adobe...

I'm going to improve this later, create as pdf instead of image - or make it optional. Until then here are some workarounds if printing does not work correctly out of the box:

Windows (especially newer versions)
Windows insists on fitting images to some standard sizes and gives no option to use actual size using the dpi-settings of the image.
I've found a workaround though: Download the image viewer/program IrfanView (it's free). From there you can print (I just tried printing to pdf, creating a pdf file with image placed in correct size), and choose Actual Size (dpi).

Mac:
Right click the file, choose Open with (select the Preview app). From there, under File, select Export as PDF. Then it will be saved in a pdf having the correct size for a perfect print.

It will be in the printer set up not the word or word processor. If using windows, when you hit print you should get a page that says stuff like fit, fill or original size. That is where you make any changes. You might get a 'print preview' option as well.

The images are in 600dpi - if printer does not support it natively, then creating a pdf or printing from irfanview will work - see my reply #44

I finally got it open as a pdf and pretty much prints the whole page. I have a few pdf options like nitro pro, acrobat dc, and xchange editor pro but it looks like my windows 10 print version doesnt have many options?

Dusty, That look's great, good job. Mine print out to!/2" short to fit around the turret, what was the trick?

Measure the turret dia where its going with a caliper and convert that to metric. I can help if you need it. Just measure the diameter and height. Remember on the height to make that a little short leaving room for tape. Get me the actual measurement and ill give you a good number for that

looks good Dusty.

any luck Standardelg on getting these to export in pdf form? you should take it step further and build it on a phone app! charge a few dollars for it...export as pdf, print it from any computer!
heck there's an app for everything now days, surprised this isnt one of them yet...

It should be in your printer options, not the picture option. Go to the printer setup when it says ready to print, change to correct size there and then print.

Have several questions

Is the program small enough to download?

Is it open source?

It is nice to be able to use this on line, but this being the internet. sooner or later it won't be available. If it was our computers, ten years from now it will still be available.

Great idea and very useful.

Thank you sir

As a suggestion, it would be a good idea to print in on good photo paper. It will even hold up under rainy conditions. I use good photo paper to print my targets and even in the rain they stay in great condition.
