Help me decide which 6mm version - Dasher, BRA, BRX

NOTE: See the difference just .200 grains of powder will make. This also was the case dialing in a load for my 338 Edge, 300 grain bullets!

My 6BR, 29.8 just "wouldn't" cut it! 30 grains and I was near my final!

This 6BR will out shoot me!

Change just the primers, your in a different World

Did I note 105 JLK's shoot awesome out of this rifle? I believe it will shoot anything.

Hunting, using either 55 or 70, even 90 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in this 6BR, it will really cause a lot of game to drop in their tracks. It's so accurate, a neck or head shot is no problem. I never shoot this gun while hunting over 300 yards. I will take this vs. any 7mm, 308, and 260's. I don't hesitate to take neck or head shots. Head-shots depend on the rack. Accu-bonds get 2nd, and A-Max's are 3rd. All work, it's just what your comfortable with.

I’ve gotten Grinch, 6BR, 6BRA ALL to shoot the way I thought they should! But the Dasher drove me nuts. At 600 yard Benchrest it’s been quite awhile since I’ve seen a Dasher win. Mostly 6BRs and BRAs getting it done.

There’s no doubt it’s a capable cartridge but I came out about three years ago and said the Dasher was finicky! Wow for that time it was blasphemy! Now some of the guys that thought I was crazy, agree with me!

But Hey I’m an admitted Dasher Basher! But If Dasher is your way! Who am I to say!

Just hate to see anyone being steered in the wrong direction. Dashers have seemed to do very well this past year. This was from the last 600 yard match at GA this year. Top 2 spots were taken by Dashers. Not to mention Chris was crowned GA LR champ, shooting Dashers.

I stand behind my statements about the Dasher. There are folks that have it humming, but in my experience The BRA, 6 BR and BRX are easier to tune. I’ve tried them all.

I posted the 100 yard Dasher challenge a couple of years ago. Still waiting on someone to shoot a decent 100 yard agg with one. Besides the one I posted.

The BRA has kicked alittte but this year as well shooting the smallest groups ever recorded at 600 and 1000 yards as well as winning 600 yard and I believe helping win 1000 yard shooter of the year.

As said earlier all three listed by the OP will shoot, but the Dasher is MY last pick of the three.

You can take that as bad information or not!

Not going to get in a pissing match with you. You have your opinions and I have mine. Bottom line, anything based off of the 6br case has the potential to be be a screamer, (it's all about bullet/barrel). I just don't think it's fair to tell the guy to stay away from Dashers, when they are more than capable of holding their own.

And as far as the 100 yard challenge goes..... I don't shoot at 100 yards so I will stay out of that.

Dasher, with new Norma brass no fireforming. It's got the boiler room to push those 105-108's
I’ve always been curious as to why the Norma Dasher Brass was a flop, in my mind the longer neck is a bonus as well as not having to foreform. The only thing you had to do was get a new reamer to suit the case??

I think some of the flack came when it was discovered that the brass didn't fit in the standard BR shell holders. I would agree that was a mistake. I felt bad for Shiraz. He tried to do something many of us wanted and it just didn't go well. I've always wondered if that whole ordeal had something to do with Shiraz deciding to dissolve bullets.com? I surely hope not and I truly appreciated the effort put forth to make the Norma Dasher brass a reality. It seems like everyone is off and running with the BRA now. I'm not a competitor and have 3 Dashers. I like them and just got 200 Norma Dasher brass in the mail today to try. Good shooting to all!
