I just got hit with the first muscle flexing of this new ruling. So sad, I loved not charging tax to out of state clients. However, now that I am getting charged for it for personal purchases outside the firearms industry, we have just started charging it this week. Grizzly has been charging it since Nov 1 and I assume all others will follow suit shortly.

I believe our communities need to be supported by the people living within them. Schools, roads, etc.
I DON'T believe we should be paying almost 50% of our income to taxes. Keep reading to the end.
Start with income tax, property tax, sales tax on all items you purchase. Louisiana taxes "EVERYTHING", even Labor. There are "very few" items that are exempt. and the counties/parishes always find a way to add on other tax on the people.
Figure it up, your income tax debt is 35%, we pay sales tax on any purchase, another 10%, then we have property tax, and there are a few other taxes out there we have to pay. Then add on your "new" Affordable Health Care TAX" with related expenses, your "way" over 50%.
Then our newly elected Governor, one of our last presidents right hand goons, as soon as he is elected, he starts adding on more taxes! "Our Governor" was one of the main ones pushing for the online sales taxes, starting with Amazon! Another Politician who has put it to the voters of Louisiana. What he stated during the election process, the promises have never has taken place, in fact there not even talked about!
"TEACHERS" are "Furious", and I don't blame them, For the record, I believe were 48th or 49th on the list of the lowest paid teachers in the US.
We have voted in taxes for our teachers for the last 20 years, and the teachers are still waiting for their increases!
In Louisiana, we watched our last POTUS damn near "bankrupt" our state! Many had to leave the State to survive while Bummer was parting around DC and the rest of the country, or bowing to some towel head while our abundant resources were being directed to areas over the big pond on the West Side.
FWIW, Louisiana's industries are "responsible" for keeping the "Eastern Seaboard" ALIVE! Many (including our far left wing citizens) don't realize without Louisiana's industries, and refineries, the Eastern 1/3 of the lower 48 would die off! The supplies the Farmers across the country depend on Louisiana products to produce a successful crop. Most, if not "ALL" these products come from Louisiana, mainly "fuel" for their machinery.
These same "far left" individuals don't have a clue when it comes to hunters and the amount of game killed nationwide.
If the idiots had "ANY" since, and the teachers within our school system had a proper education, they would "KNOW" the Farming communities across our nation are responsible for killing more "wild animals" than any hunter ever thought about. YES, the chemicals Farmers use to boost their crops, from Dairy Farms to Sugar Cane Fields, they put out enough chemicals around their crops to keep predators away, or kill them off, and to keep them from destroying the fields. Then the "Booster" shots for the Farm Animals comes into the equation. I must add at some point, humans are ingestioning a percentage of these chemicals. A box of cereal which most Americans grew up on and they are still consume during their life, well in the FDA administration, a box of cereal is referred to as a box of chemicals with contaminated milk mixed in. And the World wonders why we have so many sicknesses these days.
The Mississippi River which flows through the middle of the State to the Gulf, well this area mainly 30 miles on each side of the river, which equals 60 miles wide total to the Gulf, is known as the "Cancer Belt" in the United States, and has maintained this title since the 60's.
More Feral Pigs, squirrels, rabbits, Possums, plus Deer are killed by Farmers as a necessity to stay productive (and it's legal), and keep their Farms productive from year to year.
The millennial's who reside in their "High Rise City Caves" have no clue about the Farming life!
OH, by the way, Louisiana charges almost $00.85 cents PER GALLON on all fuel purchases!
I have gotten mad enough, so it's time to quit.

This is so wrong, can you imagine having to file quarterly Sales Tax docs in every state that you have customers in that have purchased from you or not. The requirement doesn't stop if you have no sales, you still must submit the documents.
These judges haven't a clue what it takes to operate a business. This country has gone tax crazy and they don't give a damn about us one bit.
I know that this sounds bad, but I think we should re-introduce these politicians to tar and feathering. The really bad ones we can add running them out of the country on a rail.

Dennis, I agree with you that we are being taxed to death on everything.
On the Agricultural deal it is sad about the over use of chemicals in the industry. Especially down in the rich soil productive area your in. Elanco has even shot themselves in the foot with products like Roundup. I think all they have done is made a super weed that no product now is going to be able to stop it from invading crops.
But do realize there is a majority in the AG business that is doing their best to get you a safe healthy product to the plate.
On the animal end of agriculture, again I agree with you that there shouldn’t be growth hormones added just for the purpose of weight gain and more profit.
We do though have to keep our herds healthy, by the means of vaccinations and yearly boosters of them. These shots protect them from air-borne and ground induced diseases, plus reproductive ones.[/QUOTE]

In Texas there are so many small taxing entities entitled to a miniscule percentage, and their borderlines are so convoluted that even businesses within the state sometimes don't collect the correct amount of sales tax, and get this, that's a State Felony offense, whether it is over or under collecting it is considered Tax Fraud. So stated the publications with instructions how to file sales taxes several years ago when my wife had her business. One of the small taxing entities advised that we were in their district and when I doubted it and called the State Comptroller's office and gave them our address they advised that we were certainly NOT in that district, it stopped across the street from our location. Imagine now how an out of state vendor trying to determine how much sales tax to charge a customer in Texas can ever get it right, because if you sell it to a ship to address and not at a store front, it goes by the ship to address for tax liability. I'll bet Texas is not the only state with this kind of tax environment. Ruled by idiots that have never had to do business for their livelihood!

I agree 100% on Vaccinations. But giving chickens chemicals so they will lay more eggs is one of my main concerns. Then comes the "beef" growth hormones.
SAD, but true.
FWIW, Feral Hogs has become a problem in the Southern States now for several years. It's unbelievable how much damage these animals can do to a crop. And they multiply faster than rabbits!
This post definetly rang a bell with me. Sorry for the long post above. At some point the taxation has to stop. The abuse of the tax funds by our government elected officials gets worse by the year!

Hope you guys remember all the taxes (surcharges) on your phone bills and satellite TV. As soon as the donkeys take over the house, we'll get to pay the "immigrants" medical, phone, food, housing, and education expenses. Of course, we're already paying it, but they'll want to give it some kind of fancy name, like " The Affordable Worldwide Care Omnibus Bill".
governments have a never ending voracious appetite for citizens money. If you have entitlements (aka welfare) somebody has to pay...

True, but how many can afford the $500 dollar hunts, plus all the other expenses that go with the hunt! Not many in my area! Same with Health Care, people are losing their life savings just for mandatory health care. Thanks Again Obummer!
Back in 83 I was a member of a large club in one of the greatest areas in the US. I vividly remember at the end of the season that year, they had already made the decesion to up the annual fees to $3,000 dollars. With the related cost, licenses, room and board, etc., I decided to end it there. I had already spent in excess of $5,000 for the season before they up'd the dues!
And all of this for hunting on weekends for 6 weeks or so. Thanksgiving usually was a 4 or 5 day hunt, then the season closed during the New Year weekend!
I ended up buying my own land and glad I did it. It's much cheaper vs. being in a club with all the rules and regulations, plus the main item in a club, they place you in a hunting spot, you had no say so in the matter what-so-ever! And the story goes from here!
My MIL's place is about 400 acres with a lot of it having road frontage on both sides. Guys with hog dogs see the pasture damage, pull up and tell her they will clear out the hogs for her. It works. After a year the sign is back. There are two guys that hunt anytime they want, always at night. I think they have keys to the gates. They run all of the deer off too. Pretty soon they are going to tax her for the meat.
