The mighty jeep FC concept

Guy's for some reason i can't load this up at the moment, so just go to www.jeep mighty FC concept.com and have look. This is the best camping rig i can think of, period. The video on youtube of it at Moab is good and the photo gallery on it at autoblog shows it very well.

Perhaps someone else will up load this for us to enjoy.

Thank you daleboy, that has always been my dream rig since i was a kid back in the 50's. A friend of mine had one, (a project) that had a Mopar barracuda 273 v8 in it but he never finished it and it sat on a lot he owned and over the years kids just beat it to the ground. I tried for almost twenty years to buy it but he wouldn't sale it. I kept trying until finally there wasn't any replacement glass left any place so i gave up, he sold it for scrap years later.

Yes the old model in the video does have a diesel. The new gladiator pickup is supposed to have a small diesel in it as an option, that would be perfect for the Mighty FC. The last price i heard on the Mighty FC was right at $200,000. I wonder how i'm going to explain to the wife why the house is in hock, ... again.

I have fond memories of one in the 1960s . I remember all of us kids packing the front and back full of us,sleeping bags, tents, Coleman lanterns and Zebcos heading out on fishing trips ...I also remember when we would hit certain speeds while on pavement that the old rig would get what we called the "death wobbles "...had to get it slowed down fast,it was a little loose at road speeds...riding in the back was quite a trip riding the wobbles out .

Beautiful concept and so is the Gladiator. I imagine they will offer 6, 7, year or longer financing; it's the only way the average guy is able to bleed out.

200K, um no thanks. If you can afford this vehicle to play with, and no mistake it's a toy, then you can pay cash or put 170K down and finance the rest. Looks like the guy has a great job with concept vehicles but he as little concept of what the real truck buyer can do. Like the Chevrolet SSR, cool to look at or rent for a weekend but a failure all around. If I had 200K lying around it would be put towards an aircraft.

The thought struck me, this guy, I think is an engineer for Chrystler-Jeep, and if memory serves me, (and often it doesn't) I made a few laps with him in a awd Hi-Per jeep at NAS North Island many years ago during their speed week. Im trying to locate the video but ..............

I had a few full sized 4x4 vans over the years. Going off road sitting over the front wheels i found to be less than ideal...o_O...Was looking for an icon of a po-go stick.....:D

Regards
Rick

Heck Paul, you may not be missing anything, i believe it's one of those "the freedom to go anywhere or do anything" rigs, and camp/hunt/fish while your doing it. Or maybe it's "just leave your cell phone in your mail box and not be seen or bothered for weeks or months at a time."
That one can be addictive, i tried it fifty years ago and never went back, ... and haven't missed a thing that really matters.
