Recently put a Criterion remage barrel on an older remington 700 (mid seventies vintage). Just got it broke in and the results have been quite good. Need to do some load development for sure. I put it in a magpul hunter 700 stock and it looks slick. The caliber is 22-250, and my thinking is with a barrel burning caliber, I can swap out the barrel for a "reasonable" cost once it's shot out. I like to shoot, so it will get shot out eventually. For a factory rifle the barrel nut system seems to be a nice alternative for someone who needs to change out a barrel but doesn't want the wait or expense of having a gunsmith doing it.
