I'm dancing on thin ice here, trying to avoid posting a political thread, but this is important. Please, do not respond with any feedback that could get this thread removed.

Washingtonians,
If you have no other reason to vote, please at least look at Initiative 1639. In your voter's pamphlet, read the arguments for and against. The choice of how to vote will be obvious to those on this forum, but maybe not so obvious for others within the state. I will say no more.
 
someone had mentioned that some group is trying to get 200,000 liberals to move from the Bay area to Idaho hence turning it into a blue state. The illness progresses like that. When I moved here to CA in 1978 the gun laws were in line with most other states. Now "Common Sense" laws, the only purpose is restriction is the rule. What they are really going for, and I believe they will get in much of the USA is, zero gun ownership. I believe this zero ownership will succeed because of the amount of gun owners that don't exercise their right to vote and think the constitution will protect them, it wont.

That is true and unfortunately the big population centers are along that I5 corridor.

YES IT IS! I lived there for exactly 12 months and as soon as my lease expired I was out of there. Seriously the rudest people I've ever met. Bellingham on the other hand had the friendliest people I've ever encountered-but still very liberal.

This old saw has been on the public consciousness for hunnerds of years but people never think about it until it affects THEM.

The problem is, people out here are "nice"..... and incredibly naive/stupid.

Stupid people have been "trying to do the right thing and just make everybody happy" as long as there's been voting.

We're getting more and more "democratic," voting the whim of the stupid people. NICE stupid people, mainly.

We already have a law on the books here in WA that says I have to do a background check on a friend or acquaintance if he's over visiting and he shoots clay birds in my yard using my gun.

We HAVE this law. "Nice People" voted it in a few yrs ago..

I am a certified Hunter Safety Officer Of Thee State Of Washington...... an unpaid employee of the WDFW. At An In Service Training Seminar we were given an exemption from the State Attorney General so we could continue to teach. In a room full of 2400 adults one lone hand goes up..... There's Ol' AnilWa again...." I need that in writing.... "

IMO, the sick thing is, I WAS THE ONLY ONE!..... In a room of 2400.....Everybody else was perfectly happy to live in a world where "We're exempt from the law cuz we know the secret han'shake" which is just ANOTHER iteration of stupid people IMO. I don't want to be a member of any Secret Society. Nor of ANY "Society" that would want me.....

Long story short, I'm the only guy in the world who calls the FBI to have them run background checks on folks when we're having a fam'bly barbeque..... It's gotten to the point where they say "Are you that guy from Washington??? WE DON'T WANT TO BE PARTY TO YOUR STUPID LAWS!!!"
