Anybody load 358 Winchester?

Anybody reload 358 Winchester? I’m loading 220gr Speer over H335 and I can’t get it to group worth a crap. AR10, 20” barrel. Best I can get is 3” groups at 100 yards.

I’m also using magnum primers as that’s what the Speer manual called for. I may switch to regular and see how it performs

I load .358 win for a browning BLR so I doubt any of my data would help you much given the difference in platforms.

Having said that I found success with N140, 220 Gamekings and was using Fed 210 primers. It does all it needs to out of a hunting rifle. It shoots 1 MOA and hammered a nice 10 point last season.

Going to try some 225g Nosler BTs for this year

PS. Being a fan of the .358 I’ve always wanted one in an AR10. Post a picture or 2 of that bad boy if you don’t mind

Here’s my thread from last year

My first 358Win was a BLR. I tried everything I could think of but never could get it to group to my satisfaction. 1 out of 3 was a flier, and 3.5"@100 yds was all it would do.
I took a gamble on a used stainless pre-fit for a Savage off another forum. First load I tried would group 1" or a bit less @100, which was acceptable for me, so I never tried to refine the load.

Winchester LRP, 48.5 grains of IMR4064, 200 grain Hornady PSP and 2.650" COAL. Puts deer down with authority.
This is close to a max load according to my manual, so as always, every rifle and situation is different. Start 10% lower and work up. You know the drill.
