A Teddy and a Panda

Kelbly's can open a PPC to 308.

dave
Yea but I already have 2 pandas with 308 bolts, so how many do I need. Lol. Think I'm gonna leave it alone(molesting that classic car thing again). Was a Lowell Frei rifle. Still is actually, haven't change a thing on it, still green. Thanks for reply though.

Old builds that im having redone.

Hey Dave-those certainly are a couple nice looking actions but since you are building a couple 6 Dashers and I am having a couple 6 BRA's put together this winter, I figured I'd show you what I'm starting with too. I'll be sending them off to Alex this week. Really looking forward to testing next spring, and seeing how all four shoot...not to mention how they shoot against each other at Ridgway. Yes, that is a challenge!

I bet he will take you up on that challenge and raise you 1 Long Island Ice-T

dual port that panda .. so much better when using off the bench .. i do wish i got the drop port tho

A buddy of mine has a drop port borden, his problem is every br case that's dropped inevitably lands on the neck. Not sure if its the rifle height off the bench is just right or what. Hes going to implement something into the stock to kick it out on other rotation. The other disadvantage, is if you shoot to the side of the bench like I do, even with a towel to land on they can "pile up" and deflect cases to the side. I'm sure these issues can be worked around, that's just what I observed watching and working his gun.

My dual ports fling the cases straight out and flat. I set up a towel and use zip clamps on the side of the bench so they cant go anywhere. I'm sure in either case these little issues can be addressed, just something to think about.

Mike, never had that problem. I cut a shag bathmat and use it.

Like I said, just something to be aware of. There are "disadvantages" or "side affects" to be aware of with either option.

I am glad you didnt have the problem, some guys use really thin necks, and the thought of them landing in the corner of them makes me cringe lol.

Mike, my reamer was made about 25 years ago and it is a 262 neck on my PPC. When brass drops on a shag carpet, it ain't going to ding.

You do it just like Bat does. Install a sako or mini 16 at 6 o clock on the bolt face. Kelbly's will sell you the bolt with no ejector or extractor cuts. You will need to get a non fluted bolt also. There will be an extractor in the left port. Thats something you need to be ok with.

The Panda needs a scope.
