What does it take to have your club hold sanctioned matches?

What does it take to hold an international benchrest shooters sanctioned match? If the club has the 600 and 1k range, pits benches etc what else is required?

Check out international benchrest website, then scroll down to "host match"

What state are you wanting to start these benchrest matches nice to have someone interested to build us shooters another range hope you find out what you need.

Mississippi gulf coast. Not building a range we have monthly 600 yard matches and we have a 1000 yard range with pits and target carriers as well just haven't done the paperwork to be registered.

You need an active shooter or club member that is willing to do all the paperwork, handle all the computer programming, record all scores, order targets and pay for them, organize others to help with set-up and shoot operation, record all results, send them in for record, buy and receive all awards including the IBS patches and other awards, collect money, advertise, learn the rules, operate the range with the proper commands, get a sound system and operate it for the shoot, buy proper scoring plugs, calipers and sheets to score targets.

Then that person has to help clean up and deal with rules applications for all shooters while getting little to no opportunity for any personal shooting because they are too busy. In short, you need to find a SAINT that shoots competitively and will make the time and effort to do all that will little to no appreciation. At Manatee we have Steve Krauss ( BT1). Without him we have a few guys named "Harry".

We are already doing most of that now at the monthly matches. What computer programming is involved?
