Is H4350 gone forever?

I've been researching powders for my 6.5CM, and the one that seems to always be at the top of the list is H4350. Only problem is that I am starting to see what everyone has been talking about regarding availability. If this powder is so great, and the demand is so high, why isn't Hodgdon making more of it?

I would swear that I have seen 8-lb containers of this stuff somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where. Is it really so scarce that I should buy every last lb that I can find, and then sell it on ebay for my retirement?

I have never seen a shortage myself. Everytime i hear of one i look to make sure im still properly stocked up then next time im at the store ill grab a few incase a buddy needs some

It's out there, and yes it is in demand but can be found. I believe it's more available now than say 2 years ago.

I think it depends on your area. Here it isnt available at any lgs, but i can order it online just pay a bit more cause of shipping and hazmat.

It was MIA for months back a couple, three years ago.

Saw 1’s & 8’s both “on sale” just last month I think at a couple popular vendors.

That it’s made on the other side of the world from us doesn’t help; vagaries of weather, marketing, production & shipping all play hob with ‘there when you need it’ availability.

Moral?

You find it, BUY IT!

Just don’t buy more than you’ll need for a couple seasons or risk being tagged as a hoarder.

Well, since I had my 6x47L put together, I found it loves H4350 (of course)!!!!!! And I also have had pretty good luck in an 8 twist 22-250AI Savage barrel I screwed onto an action a while back.... I do have 1-8# jug, & couple 1#ers. The 8# jug was found locally, but, for a pretty steep price, or so I thought at the time I bought it..... I'd LOVE to find another locally @ a decent price! Might just have to "bite-the-bullet" & order it on line, ha ha....... Good luck to everyone "Looking"!

Yeah reloader 17 in my creedmoor was not happy. Was very fast though if your a speed junky. I think i could have broke 3k fps with 140s.

Hodgden Don't. ADI Australia, part of the Thales military group do.

From what I've seen, the rest of the world have never reacted to US 4 year cyclic panic buying.

IDK your situation ...When Varget was hard to find I got one keg..Saw another bought it too, Same deal w H4350 now I'm holding 3 of each...Buy what you need a year in advance & you can wait out the delays...Mike in Ct
