exact dies

Just a thought from a guy with 8 fingers n 2 thumbs.
Adjustable in the sense of not having to loosen the lock ring on a factory die. That’s what I think they’re saying at least?

Locking the ring to the die in my opinion is a bad habit; I adjust the die in the press every time use one, I do not secure the lock ring to the die, I secure the die to the press with the lock ring. RCBS made a set of dies for the 357 Magnum; many reloaders purchases the 357 Magnum set. Reloaders that adjusted their dies every time use the 38 Special die set to load both the 38 Special and 357 Magnum.

All that was required to use the 38 Special set on both cases was to raise the seater die to crimp the taller 357 case. And then they made another set. Same for the 44 Special and 44 Remington Mag..

And then there are reloaders that add Skip's shims to raise the die; to add the shim or to remove a shim the reloader must remove the die.

Exactly, with the lock rig locked at a specified measurement. I betting they work just like feeler gauges raising die a specific set amount

I do not disagree, if a reloader could measure the height of the die above the press he could use a height gage to measure the adjustment. If he was using Skip's shims he could verify his work and if the reloader is not working from an index he is wasting his time.

"but the were no...."

First select obnoxious music when selecting music for reloading video; and then get a bunch of compulsive gigglers for the action shots. There are a bunch of silly reloaders that are impressed with that, I'm not.

Feeler gage and reloading: The press has threads, the die has threads, when raising the die and or lowering the die precision adjustments can me made with the feeler gage. Reloaders insist on using a degree wheel pasty when adjusting the die, they insist on estimating the conversion from degree to thousandths. Most dies have 14 threads per inch, for me it is much simpler to go straight to thousands by measuring the height of the die above the press and measuring again after making the adjustment.

Above the shell holder; same thing, there is no need to convert degrees to thousands, I go straight for it.
And then there are transfers, I use transfers; transfers are unknow to reloadersm I am thinking reloaders should get serious and I believe they giggle too much.

Yes and the Flintstone car was reinvented by Henry Ford and improved upon vastly. There are new products that work and work better, they are also easier to use. New stuff comes along all the time, some work better and some don't. Matt

Is the 1"-14TPI adaptor included with the kit? The WTC sizing die is much easier to use, and can be used for different cartridges by simply changing the die inserts. It sizes the case body and neck (all the way to the neck/shoulder junction) in one shot.

I want the 2 stages. I like the set of 5 bushings that I can spec and 1/2 thou steps. Then when people say "Looks like a solution looking for a problem." then I must try it!
Machining finish looks  quality...when I saw a sample. They(Jaco) say they are working on an ogive bullets seater, and are busy testing it now.
