I'm looking for recommendations for a gunsmith that can measure ID of a Remington receiver so I can order the appropriate size PT&G bolt. And then have him weld the handle on and also install a side bolt release. PM me if you want.

OK John,
I would get Pete Pieper to install the side bolt release, but I would spend just a little to have the bolt bore reamed as must have slightly different diameters from front to rear. That way you have an exact dimension on both front and rear rings and can order the correct size. Dan Armstrong is the only guy that I would recommend for the micro tig bolt work.
There are a few folks that are good that are on this forum, but I have years of experience with these two guys.
