6BRA Varget load data?

interesting

Your node would be the I would avoid like the plague in my rifle.

I think I’ll take 30.6, do some seating tests then take it to 500 and see what 20 rounds look like.

After that I’ll repeat with H4895 and see which it better.

What 30.6?

You don't say but i'm assuming that is 1K.

I can only wish. It was shot at 600 yards. I had been testing pretty much all day on loads, primers and seating depth. When I finally settled in on what I felt was as good as I would get but still had a tad of vertical. So I said I can get that out by adding .1 grain more powder. That group was the result of that .1 grain. Before that it was shooting around 1.4” mostly vertical .1 grain lighter.

I believe he mentioned this was at 600 yards. I found H4895 to be too temp sensitive here in Phoenix where it can be 75 dog in the morning and 110 in the afternoon.
Don't know Dan The question was in regards to PAhu

Sorry! My question was in regards to a post by PAHunter1975 about a Light Gun match result sheet (Don't know how it got over here. He did not mention the distance in the post in question but there were several 8"+ groups with the winner being a 6.1"+ (?). You can see why I thought it was 1K with the calibre of shooters.

No problem I wasn’t sure since you didn’t quote the intended party.

That was shot at 1K in a match in Ohio.
I was the none ibs member that shot the 49. That match was my 2nd time ever shooting at 1K. It was a milestone for me and I’ve been hooked ever since. Absolutely love this sport and have since got others interested in it as well. There was a ten moa left to right wind that day.

I know from speryence that that will get your feet right back on the ground.
I won the student match one year at the Williamsport BR school and the next year, full of delusions of granduer, ( I should have known better) shot a 17"group. I'm just about to get a handle on 600yd ( see some people never learn) and you're right, hooked on the game. I do love every up and down of it. Thw bonus is, as a former motorcycle racer, no matter how bad you shoot you don't have to go to the ER.

It’s some where around .022 off the lands velocity was 2928 ES 7 SD 2.8 all form a Brux 30” 1.450 dia barrel in an 8 Twist.
Myyyyyy goodness "30inch 1.450 dia barrel" . What does that rascal weigh in at. I just bought a used barrel that ended up weighing 9.5 lbs and I had to go thru all kinds of stuff to make weight (17lbs, 0.0oz). Preliminary testing..... It was well worth the effort.

Well Ben I am waiting on some varget but have not got any today I fireform 5 new cases an shot three 3 shot groups with 3 seating depth with R15 at 32.3 grains 2930 fps this my 6mmbr blitzen. I started in the lands first an backed out on each one this is first 14 rounds threw the barrel with Barts 105 Gunther.
Is the 6 Blitzen a 6BR with the shoulder pushed forward? I'm sure you spec'd it somewhere before but I missed it.
Thanks John

Basically a 6br ran about 40 thousands deeper.
I just caught that when I really looked at the picture this last time. When I get my reamer (+.050"} we may get notes to compare. I'm not claiming to know anything but I got plenty o' questions that I'm going to find the answers to.
Thanks John
