Solved - Target Vision Camera Operation Issues

About three months ago I bought one of their camera systems. Many at the Manatee range use them successfully. I and two others, can't get literally any use out of them. We are Apple iPhone and iPad users.

The android users all seem to have few to no problems. I have near never gotten mine to work. Contact with Target Vision is problematic. Often there is no response but when there is, the return is very courteous. They make lots of promises to fix the software problems with Apple products. Comments that it used to always work with Apple and not Anderoid don't help me much.

Just two months ago I was promised that issue would be fixed in two weeks. "Just give us two weeks".

Well it has been two months and as usual, no resolution and no notification of anything either. Just today two of us with iPhones and iPads were shut out again with no operation at all. Others with the same camera system using android equipment had no issues. One fellow even watched my camera at 600 yards and let me borrow his android pad to look a couple times.

Tried to contact them again today. No response yet. Wondering if they are still in business? Their customer service is the nicest-sounding, worst experience you can imagine. To top the mess off, the tripod holder at the bottom of my camera is loose and does not seem repairable.

Just so you know - Target Vision Cameras seem to ONLY WORK with Anderoid devices. If you have a problem you may get a very courteous response. Just do not expect them to be able to fix anything. My $650 expense has been a joke from day one.

Guess I need to get an android device and some nasty glue to fix the tripod adapter myself. You will not get help from Target Vision.

My Target Vision camera works with my iPad. When I first got my unit over a year ago I had some issues with the unit dropping the Wi-Fi signal. I called them and they sent a call tag, picked the unit up and promptly sent me a new one. I was pleased with the service and I ma pleased with the camera.

Thanks for the reply. I have spoken with them many times on the phone. They just keep telling me they have to change their software as downloaded from their site through the App. Store.

They never ever offered to exchange my system. In fact they acknowledged that my serial # was sent out without any paperwork/directions because they ran out. Promised to send me the paperwork three times as I asked for that on those many calls and some emails.

Nothing.

There is a possible anomaly. At Manatee there are often as many as 10 Target Vision cameras in use at the same time on the 600 line. Mine never worked around others.

One time and the only time it worked I was at my camp alone and set it up at 400 yards without other cameras around. It worked.

I have asked them about interference issues and the iPhone/iPad system. No real answer.

If I can get them on the phone, doubtful as they did not answer yesterday, I will ask for a replacement and see what happens.

Appreciate the information.

Just got a nice note from Clay Rhoden of Target Vision. He is out of town helping at a shoot. He is also offering to deal with this in a reasonable manner.

That was good to read and I will respond as things transpire.

Today I used my Target Vision with nothing but full success. It worked with BOTH iPad and iPhone and also with a new Anderoid tablet I bought. Wonderful experience after much frustration with Apple usage.

I sent it back to the owner/founder of Target Vision - Clay Rhoden. He had his people replace the inside parts with something that worked perfectly with everything. My suggestion is things seem to always work great with Anderoid phones and tablets. If you use Apple phones and pads, contact Target Vision for advice and possible changes to make it work IF you have a problem. They were very cooperative with me throughout the entire process. I am contented and very comfortable with Target Vision and how well the camera can operate.

Get one. They sure make tuning easy.

Captain,
Glad to see you getting a break for a change, between your Bra and your camera, you were due.

Good to see you got it worked out but couldn't you have bought a cheap android phone and used it without any cell service?

Do not know. That Anderoid tablet, the lower 7" one in the picture, is an Amazon Fire Gen 7. It cost me exactly $40 shipped in on Ebay. There are other
Anderoid tablets available for even less. Way bigger than any phone, mine fits right on top of the camera in the case. Now with this adjustment I can aim the camera lens with my iPhone and sit to enjoy the big screen look back at the bench with that tablet.
