I bought one, poor connectivity, update helped, but have corrupted videos on my phone, not so much on Ipad, regularly drops out and misses shots. It's not "great". I'd rather a 30-90x75 or something with a wifi eyepiece to be honest. That way you can split screen it on your Ipad too with chrono data. Also their customer service email didn't work for like a month and I got the shits with trying to get in touch with them. I'd give the unit 5/10 as it's buggy as f***.

Been using LR-3 ULTRAHD for a year now. No issues with pictures/video on my iphone or ipad. I did have one battery pack flake out - Longshot mailed replacement as soon as I replied with pack data (printed stuff with date/production) - arrived 3 days later.
Don’t have any android devices to test on.

I have a couple of the Longshots. They worked well until recently, when one battery started to die. It only holds enough charge for about 15 minutes of run time. I emailed them about a replacement but it was $100 plus shipping for them to replace a battery.

For that money, just go to Batteries + with your defective pack and have em build a replacement with 2-3x capacity of original. That’s my plan when mine are dead and no longer warranty covered.

You can rig an external battery pack, thats not a problem. I have ran one off a car battery (target camera) with a $4 voltage regulator. Some want to retain it in a nice compact package without hauling any extra stuff.

I got the LR-3 set a coupla months ago. Had'em out several times with no issues that weren't my own doing using my Android phone. So far I'm really liking the instant feedback on paper at 1k+ but it is annoying/relieving when my errant "bullet hole" flies away.
Just "inherited" an Ipad to use. Lord hep me a dreaded apple product. But it was free and the bigger screen'll be nice if it isn't too aggravating to use. YMMV.
