My first time at Deep Creek or shooting in any 1,000 BR registered match. But... IMO, conditions for the 1st two targets were excellent. Then the sun, heat & mirage & a little wind kicked in & things got a lot tougher.

OK conditions. Not good enough for real small stuff, not bad enough for real big stuff either. But this is normal for summer time. 1" groups come at 5 am when you are testing and preparing for that relay that ends up being perfect. Thats why it wont be luck when it happens. You know the gun will do it, just need the perfect relay.
Good turn out and I got to meet a few people I know from conversation. Jeff Locke's son shot the club gun really well. And Jeff Reed's new rifle started out of the gate with a 2"er. The deep creek tuning method is heading back to Tx. with alloytargets. Overall a really good shoot, except for the heat!
