Broken screw RCBS

First time ever. I was priming on my press yesterday (RCBS) and the screw that holds the primer arm too the press snapped, This caused the the screw that holds the primer cup too the primer arm to also break. I have primed ruffly 5K rounds on this press, I guess that it was just time for it to break. Has this ever happen to anyone before or am I just too ruff on the handle? I have read that many do not use their press for priming but I like it more than the hand primer. Thanks for your answers.

Wow - what an offer. I removed that assembly from mine and use a hand held model - I can do it watching TV in the recliner!
Moe, I used my RCBS hand primer for along time but for me I feel that I get more consistency from the press, guess I did not have the feel.

i have broken mine several time they have always sent parts to fix at no charge excellent people to deal with. i have since purchased a stand alone primer press.

Doug, Thanks for the offer. I may have to get back with you tomorrow if I may. I am some what new to this site an only a few post, I do wish to say that is a very nice offer to someone so new to the forum. Thanks Again Wayne
Doug, Again thanks for the offer Got with RCBS today and all the parts needed are on the way plus a stem for a neck sizing die that was some what bent. Like other have said NO CHARGE, should rec in five days. They too are GREAT people.

Charles, If I may ask, what tool did you purchase? I started looking at the RCBS auto bench primer. On sale today at Amazon. How do others feel about that primer. Do you get a consistence seating depth? I like to stay near .004" below level that why I was using the press attachment over the hand held.

I bought one and like it over other methods. Pressing a couple hundred with a hand primer with a mild case of Arthur Ritis isn't in the cards for me.
If you get one and use different primers of the same size, get extra tubes.

If it doesn't meet your needs, you can always peddle it here.
