I Zeroing new scope at 100 yards I just wanted to see what it shoot at 300 yards. .308 43.4 grains of Varget CBTO of 2.95 inches. I an going to adjust the CBTO from 2.90 to 2.30 in .02 steps .90,.92 .94 .96 .98 .30What caliber and load? Was that a test of different charges?
no it is worst it is a 12 inch it is a new barrel sweat spot for load is 43.4. I was working on bullet CBTO when my scope went south. I will be fine tuning bullet seating depth this weekend. My on old barrel CBTO was 2.92 and shot great till it warmed up. Below is 300yards then warmed up. New barrel has just 307 rounds through it now.You have a base to ogive measurement of 2.950"? Or is that base to tip? What bullet?
So that target is zeroing 100 and shots at 300? Just wondering as that is an 8" shoot n cee right? The rifle should shoot better than that.
Got new scope parallax fixed now the new scope problem is I have to put the vertical turret at 10 o'clock to get a level cross hairs. Vortex has sent me shipping label to send it in again,
They did not repaired my first scope they sent me a New one? I thinkOh my. That is a joke. Never should they have sent it "repaired" back to you. Not good PR for Golden Eagle.
Do a follow-up if/when it's properly repaired.
Companies like Vortex and Athlon are brands not real manufacturers mostly seling branded stuff , throw the 'repair' in the trash bin and send you a new one is standard in all but the most expensive scopes.Oh my. Having personaly worked with asian OEM scope manufacturers in the past i can tell you that scopes cost 1/4th to 1/3rd of retail price when they are bought from OEMs ,so is waste of time to repair if any serius issue that would requre scope to be taken apart and its easyer to keep customers happy with brand new scope. Its all factored in the price.

Same shape in body but glass, internals and knobs/power ring are all per spec of the company so some physical similarity is there but ends there as well.
