Now I know the M1 carbine is not what any of us call an 'accurate shooter', however, my dad has one, his eyes aren't what they used to be, and has asked I look into putting a scope on it.
Wondering what folks would recommend for a decent rear scope mount that replaces the rear iron sight? I know there was some aluminum Chinese junk out there once upon a time. Curious if there is something better on the market these days.
For a scope, I plan on a compact low power, 1-4x Nikon, Vortex or Leupold. Nothing fancy.
