It's prime time for a little Indiana Ground Hoggin

Hogpatrol, I know you are going to hate hearing this my friend but I have two main hog rifles and they are both in 6.5 Creed. My main rifle is a Materpiece Arms built with a Curtis custom action and Clay Spencer barrel. The rifle that is pictured is a Tikka T3x. I shoot 41 grains of H4350 and a 147 ELDm at 2.825 C.O.A.L.

Hey, we all have our failings :D but good shooting anyway! Those 143s really knocked the snot of them. What kind of distances are you getting to shoot?

Seriously, I like that the cartridge has brought in a lot of new shooters to mid and long range shooting, something our pastime can always use. To those that don't reload, I recommend it as a step up for those that start out with an AR and want to move to a bolt action centerfire.

I arrived to 99 degree whether in indiana Sat, had it mostly Sun and Monday as well. Two days of rain brings me to today, Perfect day, 3 hours over beans that have been ravaged previously without a single one seen. This farm has no backup for beans and can't find them in the beans. Leaving for Ohio in the morning for Hay field shooting. Am quickly loosing faith in beans.

The chassis rifle will hold MOA or better out to a grand if I do my part and the conditions are good. The Tikka is such a light rifle I don't shoot it near as well but it's still minute of hog out to about 700 or so but honestly the fields we have around here aren't normal that long 500 or so is more the norm.

The Creed is a Lazer Beam out to about 1,300 yards there's zero drop and very minimal wind drift let alone spin drift. LOL!! There is a 1,000 yard range just about 30 minutes north of me and I shoot there once a week or so. So how does it shoot if you don't do your part? I'm looking for an honest comparison to my rifle, since I am not capable of doing my part. Even my wife shoots better than I do. o_O
