Labradar Firmware Update

I installed the new firmware yesterday and my only problem was my Bluetooth was not on, on my android phone. Dope. Turned it on. Devices did a handshake and I was good to go. I shot 12 shots in 4 strings but was not sure of how to start another series (string) and did not want corrupt the data so I wrote down my avg MV and ES and deleted the series and started a new one each time. Still don't know if it will start a new series automagically or what I am supposed to do. Their support was not open when I was at the range. I sent the ? to their app support mail box.

Bluetooth has nothing to do with GPS. My phone is 24" from unit...plenty close for Bluetooth. No other Bluetooth activity around me outside at the range. Still disconnects.

Have you tried using it for extended periods of time through numerous strings?

I'm guessing an update will eventually come out since many experience same problems....

Your right and I agree with you that bluetooth had nothing to do with the location setting, however the app does require location setting be turned on, at least on my device, because I was constantly getting a popup in the app requesting locations be turned on. I couldn't get the bluetooth alone to even show lbr on the deviced list otherwise. Again it's just my theory and maybe just my phone. No biggie if I'm wrong about it. Just troubleshooting lol.

I fiddle with the app for about 10 mins arming and going through the menus and data on the card. Didn't lose connection during that time but will get to the range and run several strings through it to test it out.

Why does the app need to know the location? I'm assuming it's collecting some location data.

Many APPS automatically ask for your location. I did go to the local Apple Store this morning and they made a setting change and I now have the LabRadar app on my iPad as well as my iPhone. I did notice that there was an Update to the LabRadar App today also.

Don't feel bad. I suspect the app turns bluetooth off when it installs. I was using a bluetooth speaker when I read the email; downloaded and installed the app, and found I couldn't see the Labradar due to Bluetooth and Location Services being off.

Call them. They are great over the phone. I would bet that the setting on your tablet may just be called something else.

Sounds like I'm going to have an issue. My tablet is an Amazon Fire that does not have GPS.
Update for those who have an Amazon fire tablet. The app works. You have to enable its Location-Based Services when downloading the app.
