I could tell stories all nite about folks wanderin' out behind thee cabin to pee,

and not getting back for days.

You got it ALL wrong Al...charge em double if they get lost! That is REAL adventure for an adrenaline junkie! In fact, you might want to tell a few yarns about geo-cached bundles of five leaf, or maybe claim that guy who parachuted out of the airliner with all the cash in the 70's actually landed nearby, but the cash wasn't found...

D B Cooper money has been found north and south of my home, far from said cabin BUT...... the 5-leaf draw might still work. Even tho weed is perty thick on the ground here

Geez wiz alinwa! i have spent my whole life being damn sure i did not live anywhere that was modern enougth to have a street light or stop sign or school house and now your ruining all that!!!

As for FLUMES, are you happy now? The best i came across was when i was living in Yosemite, the plume (the remains that were still there) ran from inside Yosemite park down the mountain all the way to the town of Madera which was 50+ miles away down in the valley and right to the mill.
The loggers, miners and anybody else going to town on Friday night went that way. Depending upon how drunk they were when they jumped on those logs meant whether they got to town at all, since it is all down hill and 60' feet off the ground in many places and was said to reach 50mph along the way.

For those that don't know those logs would roll over and over all the way down the Flume on the way to the mill, so you were dancing all the way down the hill or you were flying through the air. They ended up in the mill pond at the bottom of the ride so those riding it got a bath as well as a ride. More than a few died along the way.

The Madera library had at that time, (mid 70's) dedicated the second floor of the library to showing the mining and timber history of the area, you could spend many hours there just learning about it since there were many photo's and books on it.

If you want to make certain none of those proposed customers ever comes, offer a MAGA hat for signing up early. That will end it all right there.

snert, somehow i just know that if i ever meet you i am going to have this really beautiful bridge, (probably stolen from the Hudson river) sitting on my just bought, (from you) 25 acres of desert somewhere in the death valley area that only cost me $1,000,000,000,000.! Of course it will go just great with the 300 acres of swamp land that you sold me earlier at the amazingly low price of just $10,000 per acre! Whaaat, a deal. I love my MAGA hat, it piss's off everybody i work with!

I just wish I could sell a gun or two with those results...my friends say I am a terrible business man. I buy high, sell low, but seems most guys "like" me!:eek:

snert that just shows that this world really has gone crazy, ... why with your ability to help others see that you are only willing show them the best of things that they just can't do without, ... you should own at least two mega firearms company's!!

Besides i thought i was king of buy high and sell low, ... or as I'm known in this area, ... Mister give away.

Maybe it is my conscience...I can suggest you make cash on that cabin, but when it comes to selling my guns, I can't seem to talk anyone up, or when buying, talk them down. So I seem to give stuff away. On occasion this year I got book value. Mostly I got way under. For example, I sold a 350 dollar 22 for $125 to a kid next door.

Truth be told that cabin is on Public land. Which is amazing since the forest service in every western state i have lived in since i was 12 years old has had a mission to burn down every cabin on a mining claim, even when the claims were up to date. I will leave it at that since i'm sure we have forest service people here and i'm not interested in bringing up a part of their job that they may not like either.

Besides i have many other stories to share that some will understand and others will say, ... no way.

Believe you me I feel your pain...... My family built a cabin on Silver Star mountain back in the 30's. Had a hundred year lease for running cattle on the whole thing. And that's how the family ended up having to leave the mountain, the cabin burnt down mysteriously.

I'll shaddup now too, cuz the lease just did run out....

I loved all the pics that everybody shared with us of the southern half of the great state of Eastern Oregon, they brought back some good memory's. Here are a few of the northern part of Eastern Oregon.

I took these with a little cheap camera while running around up in the mountains a few miles from here so please bare with me. As i have said before it snows here, so I'll start with few shots of a old cabin that was built by miners many years ago. I tried to get some shots of the chimney which was both the chimney and the way you went in and out during winter. Sorry about the sideways shot but it was the only way i could get it in.

The last time i went up there the normal door had been half ripped off so no i didn't go inside since there was also fresh bear scat outside the door. (at least he was house broken!)

Cool old cabin!

That was bigfoot poop, he doesn't like doors and he scared off the previous inhabitants so...

Just kidding but hey you never know.

YETI! I din't think of that! A little Jack Links and some fuzzy outta focus photos, a torn up cooler..."hand prints" about 12 feet up the side of the cabin, and a LONG bed built inside...dude, serious cash potential!

DUDE! never mix up Bigfoot with them Himalayan Yeti things...... I don't even think Yeti's are real but Sasquatches THRIVE. I've got a Sasquatch control permit on the windscreen of my bike. Freerange squatches and zombies are targets of opportunity on any logging road ('course when you meet a log truck, or one comes up on you from behind..... YOU become the target)

Squatch scat differs from bear in that it's pointed on the end........but they always poo backwards so's you can't tell which way they're headed, sneaky barstids, squatches.

Now just a minute. Keep in mind we are targeting a certain type of customer here. So...there is NO diffrence between a Yeti and a Bigfoot...are we not all people and can't we all get along? Besides, most of these type customers are used to waking up next to a gal who looks like that and is just...shorter.
