Bart, you shot small group and send target to Krieger and you used a single shot action! Why didn't you use Win if it's so great.
here is your post

this is what you used
used a .308 Win. with Sierra's 155-gr. Palma bullet with 45.3gr. of
IMR4895 and RWS Primers in full-length sized WCC60 match cases. Had a 20X
scope on the English Paramount action and shot prone with a bag under my
front hand to steady the rifle. It was about 6AM in dead-calm wind
conditions.

When Palma match rules require everyone shoot the same issued lot of new ammo, a 4 lug action typically shoots their bullets more accurate. Case heads on such ammo can be a bit out of square and shots tend to string horizontally with 2 lug bolts in battery at 12 and 6 o'clock. M1 and M14 match rifles string reloaded fired cases from them 1 to 7 o'clock with their lugs in battery at 4 and 10 o'clock; their bolt faces were never squared up.Bart, you shot small group and send target to Krieger and you used a single shot action! I like the Kelbly actions because of the bbl interchangeability ,cone breaching wich gives flawless ctg feeding,, and the choice of load and eject port configuration making chcling of the acton effortless,,,,,,,Roger
Read the article. MattWrong Bart. Bart Sauter just set the new record not Bart B.
The IBS and Williamsport records are a lot smaller then NBRSA. MattThe NBRSA many group agg records at 1000 yards are about 4/10 to 5/10 MOA. IBS 1000 yard many group agg records are in the 5/10 MOA range. Some groups are naturally smaller and others obviously larger. To me, the record setters are about 6/10 to 7/10 MOA at best. All the others averaged and maxed out bigger.
They must not do 1/4 MOA very often.
Here's Williamsport current records:The IBS and Williamsport records are a lot smaller then NBRSA. Matt
They are a lot smaller, you can't compare light becuase we shoot 10 shots and not 5, so our groups get bigger. In heavy the single target record in NBRSA is 3.99 and Williamsport 2.815.Here's Williamsport current records:

The 10 group agg's are not a lot smaller, just statistically equal.
All will do that once in a while. How often is something else. With the many 10 shot group record agg's the size they are, 1/4th MOA and smaller are about as common as those 6/10ths MOA and biggerIf your gun isn't capable of shooting 1/4 MOA or smaller, you are not going to win much.
Well stated. Sometimes semantics gets in the way.NO, they will not all shoot a 2" ten shot group sometimes. Its only happened in a match 4 times in history.
Bart,,at 5 AM,some of us will be creaking and joints popping just trying to get up and get coffee, and now you want us to get to a range and shoot,,better to make it 7 or 8,,Well stated. Sometimes semantics gets in the way.
Would be interesting if all the record holders shot a match at 5 am in pristine conditions.
We freely choose the conditions and objectives for shooting. I'm weak in reading the wind so testing loads for accuracy in zero wind speeds eliminates that variable.Bart,,at 5 AM,some of us will be creaking and joints popping just trying to get up and get coffee, and now you want us to get to a range and shoot,,better to make it 7 or 8,,![]()

Bart , you go at 5 am,warm the place up,,see you at 8 am,after coffee,,We freely choose the conditions and objectives for shooting
I'll be finished and gone by 6 am after shooting 2 sighters, cleaning and letting the barrel cool to ambient temperature then putting these 20 shots downrange in 10 minutes like I did back then.Bart , you go at 5 am,warm the place up,,see you at 8 am,after coffee,,![]()
