Super Shoot

Hi all,

I’ll be going up to the super shoot for a day just to watch and maybe learn a little. Not competing since, well, I’ve never shot a match in my life and wouldn’t stand a chance. Maybe next year I’ll be ready.

Anyway, just looking for some advice on which day/s you would recommend going as a spectator? Or does it really matter?

Thanks

It doesn't really matter. Just remember they are shooting rails on Monday and Saturday.
The 100 yard days are cool to see some of the tiny groups

Monday 100 yard 10 shot Unlimited.
Tuesday 100 yard 5 shot 10.5 lb
Wednesday 100 yard 5 shot 13.5 lb
Thursday 200 yard 5 shot 13.5 lb
Friday 200 yard 5 shot 10.5 lb
Saturday 200 yard 10 shot Unlimited

Super Shoot 46 May 21 – 26 2018 will have a new format from last year.

Monday 100 yard 10 shot Unlimited.
Tuesday 100 yard 5 shot 10.5 lb
Wednesday 100 yard 5 shot 13.5 lb
Thursday 200 yard 5 shot 13.5 lb
Friday 200 yard 5 shot 10.5 lb
Saturday 200 yard 10 shot Unlimited

We will have a warm up and 5 matches per day. In doing the math for those of you worried about getting practice time in for the shooters not shooting Unlimited on Monday. We will only lose about 1 hour of practice over past formats. We will set flags on Sunday at 5 pm instead of 4 pm (range will be closed till the start of Unlimited on Monday). Monday following the Unlimited competition (approx. 2 pm) we will have practice till dark (approx 9 pm). This is easier on flag setters as they will only change flags once during week. Awards for the 2 gun will be done on Friday afternoon. And for everyone’s information, the true winner of Super Shoot will be from the 10.5 lb and 13.5 lb 2 gun.

Are there a lot of vendors there selling? I need to order some items but I'm curious if I should just wait until next week...

Looks like a lot of rain today. Bad day to come up as a spectator? Do they ever stop due to rain/thunderstorms?

Notice that you have to read down to the end to note where it is and what it is. Also interesting that back in 2011 there are more BAT actions entered in the shoot than Kelbly actions... being that it's a Kelbly event.

Very often posts show up here with announcements of shoots or results. Wonderful. Unfortunately, oh so many neglect to say where, when, what sanctioning body, distance etc. A picture of the shooters is also important for both educational and promotional value.

Larry, page down for pics. http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/yesterday-was-my-first-short-range-br-match.3952739/ I was surprised to see quite a few SEB Max's on the line. Steve
