Saw on the tube tonite that in China now everyone gets a Social Rating Score. They watch you all over with Cameras and if you do something like J walk your score goes down, if you smoke your score goes down ect ect. The Government says they are trying to encourage everyone to be
"Ideal Citizens" The cops have Glasses like Google Glasses and if they see an "Undesireable" their picture pops up on the lense . Penalty if your social score goes to low are things like your kids cant get into certain schools, you cant get certain jobs, you cant travel on airlines and on and on. This isnt a BS late April Fools Joke--this stuff is really happening over there. Strait out of some futurist SciFi movie it's there now. They must have a big computer to keep track of a Billion social scores.

I don't think you understand what this is about. This is not about your credit rating. This is about monitoring and controlling the behavior of the citizens. The Chinese government has social criterion that have nothing to do with credit. This is about the Chinese government developing a dossier on everyone. The threat to your credit rating is just one of the sticks.

Also, it cannot be beat if you leave your residence. There are cameras everywhere. Every city street, bus stations, airports, shopping malls, subway stations. There are cameras on most main streets in town, one very few kilometers on main streets, and all highways, that take a picture of the occupants of the front seat of the vehicle. They flash with every car that passes if it is not daylight.

They track debit and debit card transaction. Social media postings. Facebook is blocked in China but there is a instant communication ap that is pretty much universal, WeChat. It was developed by the Chinese government. They can analyze every word posted.

The internet browser that works in China is Baidu. The Chinese government took Foxfire and revamped it. They can monitor every search word you enter.

I lived in China for a year and saw all of these things.

Restricting your ability to borrow, to rent an apartment or travel is the threat the government uses to keep citizens in line.

Your retirement check comes from (A) company (B) state (C) Feds in one form or another, but it gets mailed, if you are from the early Jurrasic era, or via electronic deposit if you are more recent. Both have rules, tags, tracking, ID #, time stamp, location, date.

Ok, you use cash right? Uhuh. And you can only get it from?? an ATM, a bank, a friendly grocer who cashes your...oh, pesky check with tracking...except no one wants to do that cause so many losers fake them.

So you are 16 and want a job. You take your "govnt' issue ID (sheriff ID) to the local poke and squeek place that does FBI background fingerprints because you will be in contact with other kids...ya...you have to be checked out to be a 16 year old life guard...but the little twerp can't process your issued ID "cause it doesn't have ALL the info the computer calls for...an expiration date for instance, which are not part of the Sheriff Id program...so you can't get your stupid $10 an hour life guard job...unless you go get ANOTHER Govent issued ID...

So you can be 16, want to work 60 hour a week all summer but you can't. Cause everyone is scared you are not a real person...in fact you are a 16 year old posing as an adult wanting to work...

or you can be married 31 years, but 31 years ago your pastor didn't fill out the day (mind you, say Tuesday) when he married you. You wife now has your name, you have 1040 for 31 years but some turd in a cubicle says you are not eligible for your heretofor supplied spouse related health insurance cause you "ain't married". But your neighbor can hope in bed with his buddy, claim partner status and get the benefit. But you can't cause some idiot can't see that line 56 means shit after 31 years of common sense. So you have to spend $50 to have a NEW marrigate certificate sent and get creative with the pastor who is now 87 years old to sign off, send it in so the idiot can say, yep, line 56 is complete...must be ok.

These are REAL instances that happened THIS week to my family.

The further we are from local control the further we are from real safety. We are an open book.

In WW2 the Mosquito was a great plane for fast attack on the Gestapo HQ, where RECORDS of citizens in the resistance were kept. Now we give that away on FB, and even here.

I sort of doubt that China can monitor its people that well. Their are too many of them an much of the country still takes a dump out doors. I once took a back road to the Terra Cotta Army near Xian.
None of the rural houses had electrical service lines. The heat for the homes came from coal piles dumped at road intersections.
No one had AC. Everyone drank bottled water because tap water is unsafe. Few people outside of the large cities owns a car. Everyone rides a bike. The standard far tractor and pickup is what looks like a 40 year old Gravely garden tractor grafted to a 2 wheel cart to make an articulated steering one man truck.

So what you are sayin is that it is just the opposite as we do here in the USA. Here if you shoot at the police, burn your neighbors house and most of the city, and stand out in the street screaming at people you get preferred treatment, free cell phones and more free government money.
