SAVAGE 110 TACTICAL, 308

Hello to all, in the market for a .308. Decided on a model 10fcp-sr. This rifle iis actually dis continued, but is still avail at outlets. Then, my local savage dealer, mentioned to me, that the110 TACTICAL, is pretty much the same.
This rifle has accustock, accu trigger, accufit, etc. 24 inch, 10 twist, threaded.
My question is, does anyone here, hsve experience with these yet. I bought it for the caliber, it is in, however, will become a switch barrel as well.
Also, I always thought 110, was for long actions, and the 10, were short!
THANKS in advance.

Bluetip in the Savage lineup you may also consider the Hog Hunter, which is a low cost tac model. Ditch the factory stock for a $100 Boyds laminate or $200 Choate and you can have a nice entry rig.

I put an order in today for mine in the left hand version. The new 2018 models with Accufit are all 110 series now regardless of long or short action, just to make it a little more confusing for everyone.

I actually talked myself out of it, in lite of I was probably going to replace the stock, anyway.
I bought a Dicks special, in 10sba.
308, 10 twist, 20 inch barrel, non accustock. Reasonable price!
I'm going to hotrod it anyway, so why pay extra, if you're going to replace it. Barrel is very smooth, trigger is crisp, at about 2lbs.
Action is like glass. Breaking it in today.
Gonna put a Boyds, At One, stock on it. Then, add a Shilen barrel.

Ps, actually shot the 10SBA, today, Very impressed. Barrel dosent foul, shot four, back to back , three shot groups, with cheap ammo, that a dime would nearly cover.
The blind magazine, worked flawlessly, and ejection was flawless as well. For the quality of what I got, versus my own expectation, to say the least, I'm impressed. No hard bolt lift either.
Any thoughts?

Nice! Mine actually came in today, gonna go grab it after work tomorrow. I went the other way with it, my reasoning was that I could sell the Accufit stock for more than an old tupperware one to help offset the cost of a new chassis. I'm glad to hear you like yours! They're pretty much the same rifle one just has a longer barrel and better stock so hopefully mine will shoot along the same lines! Mine will eventually get a 6.5CM barrel though.

Which scope did you top it with?

My new savage takes less effort than my older 110 bolts. Glad to hear you got a shooter. I have been going over your other thread on the 6.5, I'm trying to decide if if it's time to try an R700.

I just replaced the stock on my six five. It's as laid up total fiberglass, benchrest style, fully floated, unknown brand, that was given to me.
Five shots, into a merely open up ragged hole, no other changes. Barrel is really owning around now on that rifle. Very happy with it. Ps, that was with Hornady Whitetail ammo, 129 interlock, $18.00 a box. Hmmm!
On my 308, I'm very impressed with it. Literally, out of the box, it shoots under an inch. Best group with some 175 Sierra SMK, was around .4, for five shots. Not even broke in really yet.
THANKS.
