13.5-1 Twist 6BR Reamer

Several years ago I ordered a 6 br reamer from Kiff and spoke to him directly. My barrel was a Krieger, 13.5 twist. His spec for that reamer is something he called a "blue box" no turn. 2.704 neck and a zero freebore. It shot everything up to 80 gr Berger FLAT BASE bullets very well. The 80 grain bullet seated with the base about 1/2 the way down the neck, seated into the lands.

I was wondering if the 13.5 would shoot the 80 Berger. That is good to know.

Manson will reduce the freebore for $40 i sent one a couple months back. Had it back in 3 weeks.

Yes, I found out I can order the Manson standard 272 Norma reamer and they will reduce the FB for $40 in two weeks. Thats nice. They seem like good people.

I was thinking .020" FB. But I really haven't had a solid answer.

You can send them a dummy round and they'll make the reamer to suit. For blue box Lapua, I'd go with a .270 neck.
IIRC, a loaded round with Berger 68s is .267 or .268.

I am not concerned with making the neck tight. I am going the other way. My 243 brass works wonderfully with a 277 neck and there is NO DONUT. Making the neck tighter makes the donut worse.
