You need .250" (+/- .005") for constant consistent ignition.
thanks for this info.240" or above on Remington style ignitions IF you want Benchrest accuracy. Accuracy issues start to appear in the .220"s. Your Borden should need no adjusting. If it has some cock on close its a simple tweak as its designed right, so no major work is needed.
With the right spring .225 is not a problem. It's all about the momentum. If you're at .225", you're a bit short.

Classy as ever.Does your measurement hold true to all actions,or just from You Tube video producer's opinion(s)?
Classy as ever.
Nope, small pin. Stillers have a small pin as well. We dont use Remingtons for BR builds anymore, every custom action in common use has a smaller pin .062-.068. I see it often. Have a Panda in the shop now because its never shot well with multiple barrels. .210" fp fall. It was "timed". Its a common problem. I can usually fix them over the phone when a guy calls, just by having them swap trigger hangers. They dont close as nice but they shoot better.I assume these numbers being quoted for for .080 nominal firing pins. Smaller diameter pins reduce the energy required to punch a good hole significantly.
