Savage firing when bolt closes

History first...

Rifle started as 6BR with SSS Competition trigger...no trigger/firing problems.

Rechambered to 6 Dasher. Denting some primers, not igniting them...no other trigger/firing problems.
Had Kevin Rayhill install a new, stiffer firing pin spring.

Went to try it out today and after 2-3 shots, I closed the bolt and it fired the round (no my finger wasn't on the trigger). I'm able to repeat it pretty often opening and closing the bolt quickly. So, the only change prior to the problem is switching to a stiffer firing pin spring (Wolff 32lb).

Before I go messin' around with adjusting the trigger, or swapping out the firing pin spring again, I thought I'd see if there's anything else I should consider or adjust?

I am at work and can't watch the video but I am wondering is this happening with already fireformed Dasher rounds or are you fireforming right now and if so did you have a pierced primer, if so you probably got carbon in your trigger assembly. How are you fireforming your loads? what method are you using?

I made it home and was able to see the video and have to agree with Sean, re adjust your trigger.

Had the same problem with my Savage mdl 12 Accutrigger. Trouble free for the first 1500 rds., then the same problems as yours. Even had it worked on by my gunsmith. O.K. for 50 rds. then the same problem all over. Then also had the SSS trigger installed. It lasted for about 3 to 500 rds., then the same failures as the Accutrigger. Replaced it with the RifleBasix Sav 2, and never looked back. It has been excellent now for almost 1000 rds. fired.

Hoping I just need a little more sear engagement with the stiffer firing pin spring in there. Certainly didn't have a problem with failure to fire yesterday.

Thank you all for the reply's
