Like the title says if you were to rank the top 5 brass manufacturers how would your list go?

rws lapua norma i have not used peterson so cannot comment.
the only way to shoot winchester as precision brass is to buy 1000 and sort your way thru them.
i got 500 out of the last 1000 i bought. cheaper than the same from lapua, but still not as good.

Lapua has had a few issues with QC lately but still pretty good stiff.
Norma,
Remington,
Hornady seem to run hot and cold.

Lapua, Norma, Peterson, RWS, Hornady.... The ONLY reason I put RWS in 4th place is they are harder to obtain and they don't offer as many cartridges of American design as I would like>>>BUT it is excellent and very strong brass!

308 win, 30'06, 300 win mag.
throw in 7.62x53r/54r for the other side of the pond.

i do agree what caliber, but also for what type of shooting.
too many variables.
it is like the question of "best gunsmith" ? for shooting or art ?

With all these newer brass manufactures I'm interested in the comments too . Lapua ,Norma , Alpha , Peterson , Nosler ,imo. 30 years ago Winchester would be #3 on my list .

PRS and or NRA 1k matches. Not that I compete yet but I plan to soon. Caliber, 6.5CM, maybe throw in 300WM as well.

2*). Peterson (Just got some .338 Lapua Mag & some .375 Chey-Tac - Both very consistent in weight & neck thickness & nice anneal job, but haven't yet live fired this brass)

I've stopped using most of the other brands in bolt action rifles, but use some Win., Hornady, Rem. etc. in the AR-15 & AR-10 (clone).

For the 6 BR, Lapua then Norma. Norma brass is more expensive but works well. I have both for my 6mm, 22, 20 and 6.8 BR rounds.

Alpha Munitions makes some VERY nice brass - but their caliber selection is limited.

I've haven't personally used any yet but I've heard Alpha Munitions and ADG are both making some very good brass that is on the same level with Lapua. I've always had good luck with Norma brass as well but it's not nearly as durable as Lapua so I generally try and do all my builds based around some kind of Lapua brass.

1) Lapua, 2) Norma, 3) Everything else.

I haven't tried Peterson yet, but they seem to be aiming for that top spot. Time will tell. I also haven't tried RWS, which by all accounts is good. Way too hard to come by, though.
