ELR Beast vs HBR 50 stocks?

Building a 375 Cheytac off a Bat Model L.

McMillan can install studs for a pic rail to attached bipod to on both stocks.

The HBR 50 has flatter corners but sides aren't as tall. Will the HBR 50 track much better in a rest then the Beast?

I want to be able to shoot prone on either stock with a bipod and switch to benchrest also. imagejpeg_0.jpg

Attached is a pic of the Beast.

My Beast-2 is at the gunsmith's now being rebuilt from a HBR 50 it was originally built on. I built my .408 Wildcat on the HBR50 because there were no other options in the 2000-2001 timeframe. I was also only concerned about shooting from a bench and off a heavy front rest and heavy base. After seeing the new emphasis on 2 mile and beyond shooting, I realized I would have to lose a lot of the 65 lb weight and be able to use it on the ground with a bipod. The width is 3.5 versus 5 inches. Not sure about the length but it is suitable for my 36 inch 1.5 inch barrel. Unless you want a really heavy platform, the Beast and Beast-2 are the clear solution for the .375 and .408 based systems. I know I will beat the 40 lb limit set by at least one of the sponsors of LOOOOOOONG shooting, but don't know by how much. My scope is likely 5-6 lbs. Next problem....getting a 2 mile range on the east side of the country!
