Well, we shot our last match before our 3-month shutdown for archery and rifle deer seasons kick off and the weather was very kind to us all.
All shooters qualified for the record round with ease (at 2147 yards) and we ran the first leg of the match and still had 5 shooters on the line. Way to go shooters!
We then moved back to 2600 yards and, when the dust settled, I got lucky drawing the first position thus avoiding the mirage and taking the win.
Runner Up was Jim R shooting Berger’s newest bullet in his 375 CheyTac. Jim shot very well earning himself 2 more achievement points in the process – and reaching Novice level. Congratulations Jim!!!
After the conclusion of the match we went out to 3700 yards but nobody got any hits.
We will start shooting again 3rd Sunday of the month in October (19th). See you all then!!!
Lynn was shooting 390 gr Hornady A-tips out of his Billy Goat Machine-built .375 CT with Stiller 1.600 TAC DRIVER action, Lothar-Walther 36” 1.650 straight cylinder barrel, McMillan 50 HBR stock w/ tracking rails and barrel block, March 5-42x56 High Master wide-angle scope in Burris rings w/ 40 MOA inserts on a Mirage ULR 70 MOA rail.
Jim was shooting 410 gr Bergers out of his Benchmark-chambered .375 CT with Stiller TAC 408 (TAC DRIVER) 1.450 action, Benchmark 27” barrel, Jason Avila ELR stock, and Nightforce 7-35x56 ATACR scope with Nightforce rings on a special-order 60 MOA Stiller rail.
