Bullseye target cam or ATV ?

I am leaning towards the camera. You guys thatchave one will it cover a piece of 4 ft by 4 foot piece of ply wood ? Maybe a 6 x6 foot if I want to shoot 1500 yards. Not the nest shot will take a while for me to get good at shooting long distance just want to make sure it will cover a huge target at 1000 plus yards ? Marty

My Bullseye system (version 1, I believe) has a fixed power lens in the camera, so distance from camera to target is part of establishing the coverage. Once the camera is set up, it's also possible to 'crop' the target in the software.

WE have 6 target vision working a manatee 600 yds they all work great when we had 1000 yds they worked great bulleyes had a hard time at 600

Good question.... I will need to walk or drive a ATV the first time to set target up and one more time to pick it up. Marty

I can only make a observation about atv's. As a person who made my living for many years walking up and down the mountains every day i hated atv's for their noise and the riders who tore things up with them. Now time has caught up to me and i found that a atv has many more use's than i realized.
Sound in our mountains carries very a very long ways and one of the first things game animals and predators learn is that when you hear a truck people are coming.
Since you still hunt a atv can get you closer to your hunting spot than your truck without being detected. There are companies that make simple bolt on mufflers that attach to your muffler that reduces the sound even more, which will allow you hunt even farther away from your truck.
For the range shooting a camera would be best.

From what I've seen and learned, the ability of any of the wifi systems - distance wise, lies in somewhat the capabilities of the wifi reception of the display unit.
Laptops work better than tablets; some better than others.
Phones, at least my iPhone work well.

I've used my early(1st?) version Bullseye, and the more recent ammo can at 1000.
If I were to fault my system, it's the ability of the camera to pick up bullet holes in the black. A higher resolution camera would improve that, which I think was addressed on later units.
When/ if purchasing a viewing device, play close attention to it's display outdoors. My phone displays much better than any laptop I've tried.

John,,,what model camera were you usuing at 1000 yds,,???....there are two models,,,one is for 600 yds or closer ,,,the other is up to a mile,,,,obviously the 600 yd version is not designed to work at 1000 yds or beyond ,,,,I have the long distance version (up to a mile),,,I have no place a mile long to shoot ,,,however I do have access to 9/10 of a mile and it works good there,,,,Roger

This is going to be a very very tough decision! Which target camera system to buy. Bulleyes target system for 1000 yards or another ? Going to to try to run it off of my note book pad. About 10 inch screen. I wonder which is easier for a 58 year old guy that is not a computer wiz bang ? I think target vision brand will go 2 miles ? Will be great if I retire in Nevada or FL. Marty

I use my Target Vision with an Apple Ipad Pro and found it very easy to set up and run, even for a 65 year old non-computer wiz. The ELR version is advertised for 2 miles and, based on the performance of my LR, I would believe it.

Leaning towards the 2 mile model. Maybe use it with my note pad ? Marty
The only thing to check would be the compatibility of the operating system. The original Target Vision worked only with Android and Apple. I believe they were working on Windows compatibility and may have it now. They are good folks and a phone call should clear that up quickly.

Ok I need to find my extra note pad find out what brand and make sure it works if I go with them. Tough choice between target vision and bullseye. Marty
