I hope this is not deemed too much a political thread an be deleted - it is about the NRA.

My intent is to promote the NRA and the excellent speech the NRA's Exec VP, Wayne LaPierre, gave at CPAC this morning. The speech lasted almost 40 minutes, and it was worth every second to listen.

I watched it on FoxNews, and suspect that it will be available on the web. There are way too many details and information for me to try to highlight any part of his speech, so I won't try it.

I encourage you to find the speech and listen or read all of it. And if you are not an NRA member, please do the United States and all Americans a favor, and become an NRA member.

And right after you join the NRA, look up and join your STATE Association as well! The NRA is super-important, obviously, but at the State level, your State Association (NRA Affiliate) is even more important.

Politicians understand two things -money, and vote numbers. Make your voice heard!

Just watching the news and saw that businessses are dropping deals with the NRA. I went ahead and re-upped my membership and made an extra donation.

I will be writing letters to each company that shuns the NRA to let them know they won’t be seeing any business from me in the future. It may not be much but it’s all I got!!

Yes, my first VISA card was an NRA issued by Bank of Omaha. They can shove them where the sun don't shine.

Just made a payment to first bank card that Scheels of Reno issued me last month.I wonder if it is the same bank as I sent it to Omaha,Neb. If it is the same bank I'm cutting it up. Hopefully NRA is changing banks as they must run millions through each year

Enterprise rent a car was mentioned,, I need a pickup to haul my stuff out to Raton in May ,, I will seek and find another source, and then very publicly tell them to stick it up their arse as well..

The problem with a lot of this fighting back, is so many companies have been bought and sold by larger corporations,, it's really hard to tell who their shareholders are .

I have a NRA card too. I called their customer service line, was on hold for over 30 minutes. They have been swamped with calls. I hope the NRA sets up with another American based bank, I sure have had good service from FNBO.

I despise the term PAC.

They should all be outlawed. All of them. No offense to the NRA, I am a member, but lobbyist groups have short circuited the entire Constitutional process. Just my opinion. Ross Perot said the same thing in the early 1990's.

I just subscribed/joined my wife to the NRA for five years, and asked my kids and grand kids to join as well, if they are not already.
