Great scopes and great reticle. You'll be fine shooting the 300 win. The 308 will easily do the 1000 yards with most scopes and not necessarily with an moa base. They help just to keep the turret adjustment centered and not bottomed out. Always a good idea using a 20-40 moa base regardless of caliber. I have a 20 moa base on my 308 and using 185 bergers can make the 1000 easily with alot of elevation left over. At a mile, I need 85-90 moa. That's when the 40 moa base comes in handy. My leupold has 100 internal minutes so even with a 40 Mao base, I'm barely making that range. Your 300 win is a different story.Sounds good, not familiar with MOA-2 but will look it up.
